The Truth for today from God’s Word is again being rejected!
Should it really surprise us as true Christians that the majority continue to rebuke us, spit on us, and reject us? No. We are the ones who are truly awake, aware, and alert.
Again and again we see that this fallen world continues to reject the Plain and simple Truth of God’s holy Word laid before them. At the times when revealed Truths from God’s word have been introduced millions have and continue to loose out only because they are too well satisfied with what they have. And what do the majority of professed Christians have? Fallen apostate teachings! They have become Laodicean; they “have need of nothing.” [Revelation 3:14-22] ~
Most are too proud to accept what they see as “unpopular Truth”. They do not like the idea that God speaks through fellow humans so most even reject God’s appointed teachers (messengers). Understand this; When God sends a message most see it as a step backwards instead of forewords. Obedience causes growing pains…the weak wish not to grow. To this end was the prophet instructed: “…Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.” [Isaiah 6:9-10] ~
Jesus pictures His true followers as those in search of “great treasure”. What is this? What are they seeking? They are truly seeking the Kingdom of God [Matthew 13:44]. In Matthew 13:45-46 Jesus pictures those who are seeking for the Kingdom of God as those who would search for a great and valuable jewel. ~
So we must have a true hunger and thirst for God’s Plain Truth. This can only be possible through and by the Holy Spirit. History repeats itself and the majority continues to refuse God’s word. Most everybody today is truly ignorant of just where they stand in prophetic history. ~
God again sends His porter!
As COGSR Elder Scott Wilson rightly points out: “The sixth church is listed as that of Philadelphia. Each church epoch or era began with the calling of one man to lead the way. These men are called “porters”, which is to say “gate keepers”. Long ago after the Saviour ascended into heaven certain men throughout the ages changed the ordinances and specific doctrines of the true Church of God. These incidents are referred to as “apostasies”. Usually an apostasy in one church era would get so bad that God would call forth a new porter to usher in the next church era. This way God has always protected His church.” [See Mark 13:34-37] ~
We also read of the duty of the last time “porter” in Luke 14:16-17: “Then said He unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: and sent His servant at super time [at supper time, about the end of the day ~ sent at the last days] to say to them that are bidden[the Laodiceans ~ them that already have a knowledge of the true gospel], Come; for all things are now ready.” But sadly most will not come. They have already made up their minds. ~
